Elite All-Stars for 2024 spring high school sports season revealed

Nearly 100 student-athletes from across Section 4 have earned selection to our eight Elite All-Star teams for the recently completed spring high school season.

There are actually 100 selections, with two athletes being recognized on two Elite teams thanks to dual participation in girls flag football, which for the first time is one of our Elite teams following the inaugural New York State Public High School Athletic Association championship tournament in the third-year sport.

Selections were also made for softball, baseball, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, boys track & field, girls track & field and boys golf.

Separate top athletes were chosen for each sport for the Greater Binghamton region and the Elmira/Corning/Ithaca region.

Elite selections were chosen predominantly based on voting from coaches, with some input from the sports departments of the papers. Not all coaches contacted participated in the voting process.
