One person injured after being hit by car in Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) – One person has been injured after being hit by a car on Monday morning in Elmira.

According to an 18 News reporter at the scene, one person was seen being wheeled into an ambulance on Monday, July 22, around 11 a.m. at the intersection of East Water Street and Washington Street after the report of a pedestrian who had been hit by a car.

Erway Ambulance and Elmira Police Department were called to investigate the scene.

The cause of the incident, as well as the condition of the injured person, is unknown at this time. The story will be updated if any more information becomes available.
