Easy forecast, what is that?

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – The evening may have started off a little bit stormy with a handful of thunderstorms, with rain mainly staying over Schuyler and part of Steuben Counties. But eventually they also drifted across the whole viewing area at some point in the evening. Overall, we have a much calmer forecast in the overnight and then the clouds will part and they will make room for sunshine!

High pressure comes in and stays a part of the forecast for about a week. Tis the season for the quietness part of the Summer. I love this forecast because, frankly, it’s easy! Ha! No tropical weather, no major severe, just good old fashioned summer sun with no drama. We will stay mainly drama-free for the rest of this week and into the next. Then we will look at the possibility of another few days with increased showers. Not to alarm you but the August starts a week from Thursday.

Tonight, look for lingering showers and then gradually decreasing clouds followed by sunshine. Overnight low of 64° and a high Thursday of 82°.
