Family-friendly block party coming up in Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) — The whole family is invited to Ill Eagle Taphouse in Elmira for a block party next weekend.

Ill Eagle, located at 200 E. Church St., is hosting its block party from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, in its parking lot. This family-friendly event will feature food, live music, kids’ activities, and more.

The Sweats will open up the night by playing rock music from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sway featuring Andy Hilfiger is headlining the event and will take the stage at 6 p.m. Partygoers can purchase Dominican food, street tacos, and ice cream from food trucks while listening to the music, and adults aged 21 and older can visit beer tents and the cocktail bar.

Kids can spend their time jumping on two bounce houses and getting airbrush tattoos during this block party, and visitors of all ages can make and buy their own custom trucker hats at a trucker hat bar.

Event attendees can park in the large parking lot behind Ill Eagle. If the weather is bad, the block party will be moved indoors to the second-floor event space.
