Johanna Lee, 93, of Lewiston
Mrs. Johanna Lee, 93 of Lewiston, Michigan passed in her home on Friday, July 12, 2024. She was born in Fenton, Michigan on November 23, 1930. She married Lyle, the love of her life, on October 21, 1947. The two never left each other’s side for 76 years. She loved her family very much and served many holiday dinners for them all. She was always involved in what was happening in their lives. Never sitting still for a moment could be used to describe Johanna. She had many cleaning and washing window jobs on her list for the day. She enjoyed walks in the woods and nature. She was a loving and kind person and enjoyed talking with people, especially children. Johanna was an active member of the United Church of Christ in Lewiston. She gave her talents for over 30 years ranging from watching children in the nursery to teaching Sunday school. She also served on the Board of Diaconate. Her bubbly personality will be greatly missed.

Dave Cummings, 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, July 12, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Dave was born on September 3, 1947, in Petoskey, Michigan, to Truman and Jean (Moffett) Cummings. Dave grew up in Harbor Springs (never far from Five Mile Creek) and graduated from Harbor Springs High School in 1965. He attended the University of Michigan where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and ROTC. In 1968 he enlisted in the United States Navy where he continued to serve until 1970 including active duty in Vietnam aboard the USS Newport News.
