The New York Islanders had until 5 PM ET on Sunday to send out qualifying offers to their six restricted free agents.

They've decided to qualify Oliver Wahlstrom, Simon Holmstrom, Ruslan Iskhakov, Dennis Cholowski, and Tyce Thompson.

They did not qualify Reece Newkirk.

Wahlstrom, arbitration-eligible, scored two goals with four assists in 32 games in 2023-24. According to general manager Lou Lamoriello, he's expected to be moved if the right deal comes around, as it just hasn't worked out for the former 11th overall pick in 2018 on Long Island.

    Wahlstrom's qualifying offer is $917,831.

Holmstrom, who finished second in the NHL with five shorthanded goals this season, did take strides in all areas of the ice in year two but still needs to raise his battle mentality.

He had 15 goals with 10 assists for 25 points in 75 games, playing most of his minutes on the Islanders' third line.

    Holmstrom's qualifying offer is $874,125.

Iskhakov, arbitration-eligible, made his NHL debut in Game 82 against the Pittsburgh Penguins after being an AHL All-Star for a second straight season, playing in one playoff game.

The 23-year-old had 18 goals with 32 assists for 50 points -- all leading Bridgeport -- in 69 games and could make the team out of training camp.

    His qualifying offer is $813,750.

Cholowski and Thompson will be depth options in the system, with a qualifying offer of $813,750.

Players do not need to sign their qualifying offers until 5 PM ET on July 15.
