    Islanders Don't Bring Back Sebastian Aho In Free Agency, Heads To Penguins

    When The Hockey News spoke with Sebastian Aho's camp ahead of the 2024 NHL Draft, the goal was for him to be back with the New York Islanders .

    However, that's not going to happen, as he inked a deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, a day after free agency opened.

    Unless they add a defenseman, they will have 23-year-old Samuel Bolduc serve as the seventh defenseman.

    Bolduc, who struggled with confidence over his short NHL career, played 34 games last season -- three games under Patrick Roy -- scoring two goals with three assists while averaging 13:09 minutes per game.
