NYC Health + Hospitals Receives $5 Million Donation to Recruit and Retain Behavioral Health Staff
The donation by Black Family Philanthropies is one of the largest donations ever received by the health system. $4M of the donation will support the BH4NYC Loan Repayment Program, which provides debt relief for providers, nurses, social workers, and other staff in exchange for a three-year commitment to the health system.

EAST HANOVER, NJ - A former assistant dean and two other former employees of Seton Hall Law School pleaded guilty to defrauding their former employer of more than $1.3 million, said U.S. Attorney Philip R. Man stabs woman in subway station after he asked for money, police say
NEW YORK - A woman is recovering after she was stabbed repeatedly at a Queens subway station. It happened at the Jamaica-Van Wyck subway station around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The attack came after a man asked the 23-year-old woman for money, police said. An argument started, during which he stabbed her, according to police. The doors will open at 1:00pm and the event will take place, rain or shine. No entries will be allowed after 10:00pm. The lineup for the day consists of Mayday Parade, The Maine, The Wonder Years, We The Kings, Real Friends, Knuckle Puck, Hot Milk, Daisy Grenade, and Diva Bleach. The tickets for the festival are still on sale and general admission prices are ranging from $85 to $95 USD. Sad Summer Festival has teamed up with many non-profits, and plans to have some of those partners on site at the event. The festival offers a long list of curated merch and has provided rules & regulations that coincide their partnership with ‘our music my body’. The set will be a good kick-off to August and once the tour leaves New York, they plan on performing until the 9th.
