ELSA, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a multi-vehicle crash that happened Wednesday afternoon on Monte Cristo Road.

Investigation reveals a vehicle traveling eastbound on Monte Cristo Road attempted to make a left turn onto Mile 7 when a second vehicle traveling behind hit it, also striking another vehicle.

The driver struck a black GMC truck and a red Ford car.

Both the driver and the passenger left the scene, DPS adds.

“Our trooper is further investigating and has leads on the guys,” Hernandez said.

    This is an active investigation.

ValleyCentral will provide updates as they become available.
