Former officer sentenced in death of Eau Claire man
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - A former Superior police was sentenced today following a drunk driving incident that killed an Eau Claire man and his baby in 2022. Court documents show that on July 17, 44-year-old Gregory Swanson was sentenced to five years in prison and five years extended supervision for each of two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. These sentences are to be served concurrently.

The winning image will also be featured in marketing efforts throughout the year. Submissions are open through August 31. The image must have been taken in Sawyer County and the Hayward Lakes Area. Multiple submissions are encouraged. In addition to the publicity, the winner will receive $500.
