Menominee Indian School District officially opens $35 million high school
KESHENA, Wis. (WFRV) – The Menominee Indian School District officially opened its new $35 million, 110,00-square-foot high school on Wednesday. The open house offered a chance for community members to hear from district and tribal leaders and take self-guided tours to explore the new space that celebrates the Menominee Indian Tribe’s rich culture and cutting-edge educational environment for students and staff.
Main Street Sweets brightens downtown Gillett
Main Street in Gillett has been a sweeter place to be this summer. Pete Vorpahl opened Main Street Sweets at 127 E. Main St. in time for the community’s annual Independence Day parade. Its shelves and walls are lined with a wide variety of sugary treats — including local favorites like Twig’s soda and Door County Confectionery candies.
