Webster deputy recognized with top award following life-threatening injury
MINDEN, La. -- Webster Parish Sheriff’s Sgt. Aaron Barnes has received a prestigious award presented by the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association during its annual convention. Barnes, 32, was presented the LSA’s Sheriff Bob Buckley Award, an honor presented to deputies and the families of those who have been seriously injured or killed in the line of duty.
Hempstead County wreck claims truck driver
A Murfreesboro truck driver was killed about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in a single-vehicle wreck on Arkansas 355 in Hempstead County. According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report, Kenneth Davis, 70, was driving a 2017 model Peterbilt south on the road when it left the roadway and overturned.
Husqvarna properties in Nashville acquired by Phoenix Investors
– An affiliate of Phoenix Investors (“Phoenix”), a national leader in the revitalization of former manufacturing facilities, announced the acquisition of three industrial properties and a solar farm in Nashville, Arkansas. These properties, located at 630 Hwy 27 Bypass, 1 Poulan Drive, and 139 Old Airport Road, were previously owned by Swedish manufacturing giant Husqvarna. This strategic acquisition adds over 815,000 square feet to Phoenix’s portfolio, which now exceeds 78 million square feet nationwide.
