College coaches, recruiters praise GBCA Live events for 'quality' teams, players on display

The Georgia Basketball Coaches Association completed another successful live period weekend this past week as their Southeast regional event came to an end on Sunday.

This year’s live event marked the fifth year in which college coaches and recruiters were able to make their way to Georgia for three consecutive weekends to watch boys and girls basketball teams from throughout Georgia and the southeast region in action and lay their eyes on some of the top prospects from the region.

“Every year it’s gotten better,” Georgia State Men’s basketball assistant coach, Jarvis Hayes said of the live period event, which was held at Lake Point Sports in Emerson, Georgia, just 35 miles north of downtown Atlanta.

“The quality of teams that we’ve seen here on a year to year basis, it doesn’t get much better than this when you can see as many teams with as much talent in one place like it is here,” Hayes added as he praised the GBCA for their event.
