The Most High Maintenance Zodiac Signs

Cancer will drain you with their neediness

Cancer, even though a water sign, they just don't flow like water.

They are the most emotionally draining, demanding and sensitive zodiac sign. Under the influence of their ruling planet, the moon, Cancers often experience dramatic emotional swings that seem to come out of nowhere.

While they have little control over these Jekyl/Hyde moods, they can become very temperamental during these periods and often times wind up blaming you. They move from hurt to anxiety, to fear, to anger.

Their emotional instability demands your full attention and support – and even then, they may feel completely as if you just never understand them.

Aries is annoyingly competitive

Aries people will constantly try to compete with you whether you are trying to or not.

They are demanding in the same way kids or dogs are and you will spend a lot of effort and energy to keep them entertained.

Their chronic impulsiveness and excitement to try new things makes you feel obligated to entertain their ideas, but it is their competitive nature which becomes so mentally and emotionally demanding.

Their ability to turn a light-hearted activity into a life-or-death competition gets old fast.

Especially when you're more of a laid-back type who enjoys peace and relaxation. The continual exuberance or remorse (considering the outcome) afterwards is the cherry on the sundae which can push even keeled people over the edge.

Leo will beat you down with their egos

You know that Leo person who loves to be the center of attention?

This sign can wear you out with their pride and bragging. Leos are also very gregarious, warm-hearted and generous folks, but they get easily overbearing when carried away by their own image and achievements.

You'll never stop hearing about how great they are. Leos need to be brought down to earth as they can lose all sense of grace and tact and forget to consider there's anyone else on earth.

Try to steer the conversation away from them and you'll be met with immediate disdain and criticism. Let's face it, confidence is key in small doses, but Leo can push the limits of arrogance.

Scorpio is a stinging diva

It can be extremely exhausting being around a Scorpio sign sometimes.

They are arguably the most secretive sign and guard their precious assets very close to their chests.

The try to win you over with their charming, outgoing and seductive mannerisms in the beginning, but ultimately will always remain untrusting and aloof no matter how close you try to get to them.

Trying to get to know a Scorpio can feel like a dead end, as they are so defensive and offer very little substance and opportunity to share who they really are inside.

Nonetheless a Scorpio will expect with no uncertain terms for you to give all of yourself to them without hesitation.

They have extremely high levels of expectation whether you're in a relationship with them or working with or for them.

Their demands only increase the longer you know them and it's never ever enough.

Their soft underbelly reveals them as the most jealous zodiac sign who will quickly turn on you if they sense their efforts and emotions are not being reciprocated and they will hold a grudge or possibly even seek revenge.

Virgo has relentless expectations

Virgos undoubtedly have a judgmental view of you and the world.

They will honor you by giving you a chance, but eventually their analytical mind, critical and perfectionistic radar will come alive.

They are known as the most demanding zodiac sign of all twelve. While they also hold themselves to very high standards, it is likely they are viewing you under a microscope at all times.

If they sense you are not living up to and surpassing your end of the bargain whether in work or play, they will be quick to show you their aloof side and leave you guessing at what you did wrong.

If you get them to reveal the problem be prepared to be whittled down to your core and have all your faults and imperfections revealed. They'll also tell you exactly what you need to do to improve yourself during harsh confrontations. All in all, very seductive, sweet and alluring when they need to be but the level of maintenance to keep them happy long term is on a very high scale indeed!
