Monroe City Under Boil Order due to Hydrant Replacement
The town of Monroe City is now under a boil order, due to a replacement of a fire hydrant. The order involves those who are served by the Monroe City Water District. The boil order will be in place until further notice.

Bloomington closes Rail Trail encampments, adds homelessness coordinator in 2025 budget
Another homeless encampment has been cleared in Bloomington, this time along the Rail Trail south of Country Club Drive and North of Gordon Pike. At a news conference in the first week of August, Bloomington mayor Kerry Thomson said that the encampments along the Rail Trail, which had 30-day notices posted towards early July, were still on course for removal “in the next couple of weeks.”

Vincennes Man’s Bond Revoked in Child Death Case
A Vincennes man has turned himelf in following just under a week after his bond was revoked in Knox Superior Court One. 27 year-old Triston Kelley is charged with neglect of a dependent leading to death. That stemmed from a November 2022 incident in Vincennes involving the death of a then two year-old boy. Court documents allege the boy was shot accidentally from a gun left in a diaper bag at his home.
