6 injured following Saturday car accident near Blissfest grounds
CROSS VILLAGE — A two-car accident on Saturday left six people injured near the Blissfest grounds, according to a press release from the Emmet County Sheriff's Office. At approximately 6:23 p.m. on July 13, the Emmet County Sheriff's Office responded to an accident at the intersection of State and Division roads in Cross Village Township. The intersection is about two and a half miles away from the Blissfest grounds, where the annual summer music festival was taking place.

Emmet County to vote on operating millage in August primary
EMMET COUNTY — Voters in Emmet County will see a millage request for a fixed operating millage on the Aug. 6 ballot. Since 2004, voters have approved a fixed operating millage for Emmet County, which includes 7.8 mills that are distributed amongst the county, townships and the Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District.
