Tracy Police Reportedly Confiscate Nearly 40 Pounds of Suspected Narcotics
Police in Tracy recently arrested two individuals in connection with the alleged discovery of a large amount of narcotics during a vehicle stop. In a press release, police reported that they had stopped a vehicle near 11th Street and Parker Ave. on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 25. A K9 unit brought in for assistance reportedly alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.

With the sizzling temperatures right now, your car's air conditioning system may need some work.The California Bureau of Automotive Repair recently introduced a new program for much of the Central Valley.It offers financial assistance for repairing faulty or leaking AC systems in cars and light-duty trucks.The Rebate initiative cover 80% of repair costs up to $1,875.Diagnostic fees are also fully covered IF you move forward with eligible repairs.Experts say leaking AC systems not only make your drive uncomfortable, but also contributes to poor air quality and an increase in asthma rates.The program is available to residents in Fresno, Merced, Madera, Visalia and Hanford.For more information and to see if you pre-qualify, click here.

Mariposa County Man Arrested For Attempted Murder After Structure Fire
Mariposa, CA – A Mariposa County man has been arrested for attempted murder and arson after allegedly setting a residence on fire with people still inside. On Monday (6/1), CAL Fire officers arrested 25-year-old Henry Castro Manzano. He was identified by witnesses as the suspect responsible for igniting a structure fire in the Banderilla Drive area of La Grange. At the time, six residents were still inside the residence. Luckily, all escaped the blaze without injury.

Samuel Woodward was convicted of first-degree murder with a hate crime enhancement for the 2018 stabbing death of Blaze Bernstein. Bernstein was a gay Jewish college sophomore who was home visiting family in Southern California when he was killed. KNBC’s Hetty Chang reports.
