    Emporia Fire Department responds to mobile home fire

    EMPORIA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Emporia Fire Department responded to a fire at a mobile home Sunday morning.

    According to the EFD , firefighters were dispatched at 5:38 a.m. to the report of a structure fire at 2713 Regency Dr.

    Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters were met with heavy smoke coming from the windows and eves of the single-story mobile home.

    Fire crews were able to enter the home and found a heavy fire coming from a hallway bedroom.

    “Fire crews were able a quickly knock down the fire,” said the EFD. “Crews searched the structure and noted that the fire was contained to a bedroom.”

    No injuries were reported.

    The cause of the fire is undetermined. The amount of damage done is unknown at this time.
