Fourth of July fireworks safety urged
With the Fourth of July just days away, officials from the Virginia Department of Fire Programs are reminding people about the importance of fireworks safety. There were eight fatal incidents involving fireworks in the nation last year, including one in Virginia. A total of about 9,700 injuries nationally also were attributed to fireworks incidents.
