PennDOT Sets Next Public Meeting for State College Area Connector Project
PennDOT has moved to the next phase for the planned State College Area Connector and will hold its first public meeting on the project since 2022 in August. The department and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) published on Wednesday a Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement. The Nittany Lions’ annual Lasch Bash barbecue event begins Friday, with major prospects from the 2025, 2026 and 2027 classes all headlining the visit. Forest Service: Longhouse Scenic Drive to be Closed Aug. 5 – 19, 2024
KANE, Pa. – The construction contractor is currently working on sections of Longhouse Scenic Drive north and south of the entrance to Kiasutha Recreation Area. The road remains open to through traffic but in some sections one lane may be closed. Travelers should expect up to 15-minute delays to allow flagger-controlled one-way traffic to pass.
