Four-star DE Max Granville reclassifies to 2024, enrolls at Penn State
In the midst of the summer busy season of recruiting and visits once again under way, we have a bit of a different kind of news with a four-star prospect in Texas. Sugar Land (Texas) Fort Bend Christian four-star defensive end Max Granville, who committed to Penn State in June, has reclassified to the 2024 class. With that move, he has enrolled at Penn State and will be in Happy Valley for the fall season.

Forest Service: Longhouse Scenic Drive to be Closed Aug. 5 – 19, 2024
KANE, Pa. – The construction contractor is currently working on sections of Longhouse Scenic Drive north and south of the entrance to Kiasutha Recreation Area. The road remains open to through traffic but in some sections one lane may be closed. Travelers should expect up to 15-minute delays to allow flagger-controlled one-way traffic to pass.
CATA Increases Hours for Service from Centre Region to County Government Buildings in Bellefonte
A recently introduced Centre Area Transportation Authority service providing access from the Centre Region to county government buildings in Bellefonte will be available for more hours starting Monday, July 29. Service from State College to the Willowbank Building and the Centre County Courthouse will now be offered from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., an increase of five hours per day. It previously had operated 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. since its launch on July 1. Top-Prize Take 5 Ticket Sold in Gowanda
A top-prize winning Take 5 ticket was sold at a store in Cattaraugus County. The New York Lottery says the winning ticket, worth $16,759 for the Take 5 evening drawing on Thursday, was purchased at the Shop 'n Save, located on Buffalo Street in Gowanda. It's one of two tickets that matched all five numbers for that drawing. The winning numbers were 7, 15, 18, 20 and 28.
Felony Arrest in Great Valley: Olean Woman Taken into Custody

Tioga, Pa. — The Grey Muzzle Organization, a national nonprofit dedicated to letting senior dogs live out their last days in loving homes, has awarded 100 animal welfare groups with grants during this year's cycle.
