Annual Membership Meeting held for members of the San Dieguito Art Guild

    2024-02-15

As required by their by-laws, members of the San Dieguito Art Guild, a 501(c)3 group of San Diego County artists, recently met at the Community Center in Encinitas for their yearly meeting, according to a news release.

The members enjoyed a delicious brunch and coffee. Each member introduced another member chosen at random and showed a sample of their art medium; heard a “State of the Guild” presentation by guild President Janet Scura; received a treasurer’s report by Jill Ballard; and participated in a white elephant exchange.

Thirty-four members of the guild gathered to have a social time and learn more about their fellow guild members. Guild board members in attendance included Janet Scura (president), Karen Fidel (membership), Jill Ballard (treasurer), Judianne Shannon (parliamentarian), Kathy Bush and Grace Swanson (publicity), Sue DeWulf and Linda Melvin (gallery managers), Whitney Moore (social media), Betsy Gilpin (fundraising), Inka Zamoyska (jobs chair), and Haixin Li (wall co-chair).

The San Dieguito Art Guild, established in 1965, owns and operates the Off Track Gallery, 937 South Coast Highway 101, Suite C-103, Encinitas. In addition, the group presents the very popular annual Mother’s Day Weekend Art, Garden, and Studio Tour and an annual Holiday Bazaar featuring handmade artworks by the guild members.

Membership is open to all local San Diego County artists. For more information go to SanDieguitoArtGuild.com or contact pr@sandieguitoartguild.com.
