Hendrick’s Gin Showcased at Newington Event
Happy Harry’s Wine & Liquor Warehouse in Newington showcased Hendrick’s Gin on July 19 at Newington’s Mill Pond Park for a daily happy hour event across the multiday festival at the 42nd annual “Life. Be in it. Extravaganza” sponsored by the retailer. Vine Ventures brand ambassadors offered education and samples, and the event provided visitors with a day of food, games, rides, an adult beer garden, arts and craft exhibits, and plenty of sample sips. Hendrick’s Gin was also sampled in a refreshing chilled summer cocktail made with lemonade and cucumber ribbons. Hendrick’s is created from 11 fine botanicals with infusions of rose and cucumber, giving it a uniquely balanced flavor and making it smooth, distinct gin. The brand offers seasonal and limited-edition gins.

Hartford Man Accused Of Ripping Off Amazon Workers
Terrell Kimble, age 44, of Hartford, is charged with four counts of wire fraud, and was released after posting a $250,000 bail, the US Attorney for Connecticut said. Kimble worked as a regional fleet specialist for Amazon and oversaw a rewards program called Coupa that would give high-performing workers high-end electronics like Apple iPads, AirPods, Apple Watches, and Nintendo Switches.
