GRIND TO GLORY: Oxford Chargers looking to charge their way to the top
OXFORD, Miss (WTVA) - Chris Cutcliffe is entering his ninth year as the head football coach for the Oxford Chargers. Last season the Chargers went 8-4. In the 2022 season they went 5-5 and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2017. Cutcliffe said a key part to the turnaround was the leadership on the team. This year he is excited about how the upperclassmen are stepping into leadership roles. “I’ve been really pleased with the leadership on this team. I think they’ve been outstanding all year," says Cutcliffe.
