Homewood officer shot before work, suspect dead after Moody standoff
ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) - A Homewood police officer has been shot in St. Clair County. The suspect in his shooting is dead. In a media release, Homewood Police say one of their officers was shot in the 2700 block of Ashley Manor in Moody just before 4:45 a.m. Sunday. Investigators say the officer was leaving to report to work. As he was getting into his patrol car, multiple shots were fired by a suspect into the front of the vehicle.
