18-year-old arrested on weapons, drug charges following Kanarraville shooting death
CEDAR CITY — An 18-year-old man is facing multiple charges following a shooting incident that left another man dead in Kanarraville on Wednesday evening. Kyle Black Jessop was booked into Iron County Jail at 4:10 a.m. on Thursday, where he is being held on suspicion of two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, a third-degree felony, one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a third-degree felony, and two misdemeanor counts related to drug, paraphernalia and alcohol possession.
Layton City PD offers $500 reward, asks for tips on man who threw fireworks into July 4 crowd
LAYTON, Utah, July 17, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are asking for a public assist in tracking down suspects who were throwing lit fireworks into a crowd of people. “During the City’s July 4th festivities, a large group of 100 or more young people gathered near the vendors on Constitution Circle, and then made their way to the soccer field at Layton High School,” Layton City Police said in an online post that included a suspect photo and which offers a $500 reward for information.
