As Madison County prepares for an economic impact and a population growth, the Greater Jackson Chamber is spreading its message, “Move to Jackson” to attract future residents and businesses. Younger and Associates recently compiled an 80-page housing study that shows the economic impact of BlueOval City in Haywood County that will create ripple effects for surrounding counties, particularly Jackson and Madison County.

Carl Perkins to Hold First Annual Daddy Daughter Dance This Weekend in Hornsby
The Hardeman County Carl Perkins Center presents its first annual Father-Daughter Dance “Royal Daddy-Daughter Ball” on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The dance will be held at Big Buck Resort’s Lakeview Lodge. Jackson Police adds eight new officers in second swearing-in ceremony of the year
On Monday morning, the Jackson Police Department held a special ceremony to welcome a new class of officers. “So, we had a swearing-in ceremony for eight new officers here at the Jackson Police Department. So, some of them have been law enforcement officers somewhere else. And some of them, this is a brand-new thing,” Chief Thom Corley said.

TCAT Parsons Campus graduates practical nurses
TCAT Crump recently celebrated six nursing graduates from the Parsons Campus in a Pinning Ceremony on May 30. “TCAT Crump congratulates the graduates,” said President Stephen Milligan. “Practical nurses, like many other health professionals, are in high demand. Our graduates are stepping confidently into their careers, filling critical roles in healthcare, and making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.” The nursing graduates completed one year of classroom instruction including 441 hours of clinical instruction to earn a diploma in Practical Nursing. Next, graduates must pass the National Council Licensure Examination to earn licensure, which is required to practice as a practical nurse.
