A number of Hooters restaurants are closing down across the country and Tennessee seems to be spared for the most part. Closures at Hooters locations were reported over the weekend. In a statement to USA TODAY, the chain said a "select number" of restaurants will shutdown due to "pressure from current market conditions."

Beef cattle farmers are needed for a large-scale agriculture project. The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture is looking to partner with more than 200 beef cattle farmers across nine states, including Tennessee. The deadline to enroll in this program is June 30.
