This Labor Day weekend, dogs and their humans will be catching more than just a break from work at the 50th anniversary of the canine frisbee world championship in Naperville. The event, officially named the Ashley Whippet Invitational, will take place on September 4 and 5 at the Nike Sports Complex. Naperville, Ill. (Aug. 20, 2024) - The North Central College men's soccer team fell to St. Olaf College 2-0 in their season opener on Friday night in Benedetti Wehrli Stadium. St. Olaf capitalized early in the first half when Abdirasak Bulale took a pass from Clemente Arcuch Puig and put it past the Cardinals goaltender Trevor Share (4:30). LTHS Kicks Off Their Football Season with Maroon & White Night
Lockport has officially kicked off its 2024 football season. Maroon and White Night is Lockport’s annual kickoff to our football season. The “White team” plays offense and the “Maroon team” plays defense. Every grade level (Freshman, JV, and Varsity) gets to play against their teammates and show off the skills they have for this season. Every level showed skill through touchdowns, blocks, and plays. Head Coach George Czart states, “The Maroon and White night scrimmage went well with all players being able to show that they are ready and excited about our season opener against Plainfield North. All members have worked hard to be able to display their particular talents on the field and we look forward to the competition we will be up against this season.” Community members, students and families all attended to show their support. WHEATON, Ill. -- The LeTourneau women's soccer team fell to Carroll in the season opener, 4-0, at the Bob Baptista Invitational at Wheaton College on Friday afternoon. Cardinals Rocket Ahead In Season Opener
BRIDGEWATER, MA. (Aug. 30, 2024) – The North Central College women's soccer team began the 2024 season on the road against the Bridgewater University Bears, rocketing ahead four unanswered goals in the second half to pull away 7-2. North Central (1-0) found itself on the backfoot early as only three minutes into the match Bridgewater's (0-1) Hope Montgomery broke away to send the first goal of the game past Jordan Boyd. The Cardinals found a rhythm two minutes later sending three shots at Logan Levesque in goal. Ten minutes into the half Sarah Andrey and Elle Sutter found an open Madison DeVriendt to tie up the score 1-1.
