(WNY News Now) – Cheektowaga – Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announces that 24-year-old James A. Jackson of Cheektowaga was sentenced this morning before Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi. He received a one-year sentence for his conviction in an animal cruelty case, which will be served concurrent to his determinate sentence of two years in prison followed by 3 years of post-release supervision on a gun charge in a separate case.

This week, if you get caught speeding on any of these 10 roads in New York State, you will get an automatic speeding ticket. There are work zones where drivers will be automatically fined for speeding between today and Friday, July 5, 2024. New York Vehicle & Traffic Law § 1180-E allows for automated speed monitoring in certain construction zones around the state.
