Summertime, and the reading is easy. As a reading specialist at Parkdale Elementary School for 26 years, I’ve had students at all levels of excitement regarding summer reading. Finding just the right book(s) can be challenging, especially for reluctant readers. But since summertime brings the time and opportunity for reading growth, I am delighted to write this column to recommend books for summer reading for children.

Cheektowaga Man Sentenced for Dog Fighting and Gun Charges
