<body><div><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=2MXZ1x_0nQi1sXS00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2MXZ1x_0nQi1sXS00" width="615" height="409" ><p>It was hard to look over the city scape of Escondido on the night of July 4 and not think that there were multiple fireworks shows going on, rather than just the sanctioned one at Grape Day Park.</p><p>During one such illegal fireworks show, an adult man blew of his hand and sustained a compound fracture on one of his legs.</p><p>It wasn’t just a firecracker that claimed his hand, according to Battalion Chief Tyler Batson of the Escondido Fire Dept. It was a mortar type explosive firework, like “a big giant ball,” that detonated and disintegrated his hand.</p><p>“It’s very frustrating,” said Batson. “I don’t know where they are getting them, because they are certainly illegal.”</p></div></body>
