Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of striker Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal .

Nketiah was expected to Nottingham join Forest after the two clubs agreed a fee in the region of £30 million ($40m) last week but one source told ESPN the move stalled over his personal terms.

Nketiah had previously been close to joining Marseille only for those talks to break down before Forest moved in.

The 25-year-old has now joined Crystal Palace after joining Arsenal as a 14 year old, scoring 38 goals in 168 first team games for the club.

"It's amazing to sign for Crystal Palace -- I'm excited to get going," Nketiah said as part of Crystal Palace's announcement . "Every time I come back to South London, it always puts a smile on my face, so it's good to be back home."

Added Palace chairman Steve Parish: "It's brilliant to welcome Eddie, a senior England international, back to South London -- we are delighted he has signed for Crystal Palace. I am confident that his energy, talent and hunger to succeed will endear him to his new teammates and supporters alike."

Also on Friday, Palace announced the signing of French centre-back Maxence Lacroix from VfL Wolfsburg on a five-year deal.

Lacroix's move reunited the 24-year-old French player with Palace manager Oliver Glasner, who coached Wolfsburg for two seasons.

Lacroix effectively replaced Joachim Andersen in the squad after the Denmark center back joined Fulham last week.

Information from ESPN's James Olley and The Associated Press contributed to this report.
