The Orlando Magic have converted guard Mac McClung to a two-way NBA contract, the team announced Saturday.

McClung is the back-to-back slam dunk contest champion but has yet to find a consistent spot on an NBA roster, playing in four career games with the Los Angeles Lakers , Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers .

With the 76ers locked into their playoff spot in 2022-23, McClung played 33 minutes in the regular-season finale and totaled 20 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists.

McClung was the G League MVP in 2023-24 after leading the league in scoring at 25.7 points per game while playing for the Osceola Magic.

A viral sensation in high school for his high-flying dunks, McClung became the fifth player in NBA history to win back-to-back dunk contests with his victory in February. He said at the time that he would think about returning in 2025 to go for a three-peat.

McClung had signed an Exhibit 10 contract -- a one-year, non-guaranteed training camp deal -- with the Orlando Magic in September.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
