An exciting Week 8 NFL slate concludes with a Monday prime-time showdown between two teams apparently heading in opposite directions. The Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2), fresh off a Week 7 home win over the New York Jets , welcome the New York Giants (2-5) to Acrisure Stadium.

With the AFC North race heating up, the Steelers are currently in first place heading into Monday night after the Baltimore Ravens lost to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. The Steelers, who are +225 to win the division at ESPN BET, could make a statement by securing their third straight win against a struggling Giants team.

Russell Wilson played well in his first start of the season last week and faces a Giants team coming off a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles . The Giants are in last place in the NFC East (+15000).

The line for this game opened at Steelers -5.5 and has ticked up a half a point to Steelers -6 entering kickoff. The total moved down during the week and settled at 36.5 points.

Here is everything you need to know to bet on Giants-Steelers, including Ben Solak giving his favorite bet for the game.

Odds current as of publish time, courtesy of ESPN BET

    Game lines

    Spread: Steelers -6
    Money line : Steelers (-275), Giants (+225)
    Over/Under : 36.5

    First-half spread: Steelers -3.5 (Even), Giants +3.5 (-120)
    First-half moneyline: Steelers (-220), Giants (+170)
    Steelers total points: 20.5 (Over -115/Under -120)
    Giants total points: 14.5 (Over -115/Under -115)

    Ben Solak's favorite pick

Devin Singletary UNDER 29.5 rushing yards (+105)

The Steelers' defensive front is the most dominant in all of football -- they have stars ( Cameron Heyward , T.J. Watt , Alex Highsmith ) and depth ( Keeanu Benton , Larry Ogunjobi ). The Giants' front is one of the league's shakier units, especially in the running game -- and star left tackle Andrew Thomas will be out for this game and the rest of the season. I don't expect to see much success for Singletary, nor do I expect to see much volume, as rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr . has pushed his way into the starting rotation.
