Man admits carjacking woman, robbing 2 Newark restaurants at gunpoint
An Essex County man admitted that he carjacked a woman in late 2020 and then robbed two Newark restaurants at gunpoint a few days later, officials said. Deion Nance, 28, pleaded guilty on June 27 to two counts of Hobbs Act robbery, one count of carjacking, and two counts of using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, the U.S. Attorney’s Office District of New Jersey announced Monday.
