    New York Woman Charged with Stealing Food Delivery from Essex Fells Residence

    ESSEX FELLS, NJ -- On June 27 at approximately 11:15 p.m. Sgt. Murphy and Officer Gonzalez of the Essex Fells Police Department responded to Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell on a report of a theft that had occurred in Essex Fells.

    Upon arrival, Caldwell police advised that they had received a call from an Essex Fells resident stating that a female party had stolen his food delivery that was left on his front steps. The caller observed the theft on his home surveillance camera and alerted Caldwell police to the location of the suspect in their jurisdiction.

    The female suspect, a 65-year-old from Brooklyn, N.Y., was placed under arrest and transported back to police headquarters. She was charged with theft of movable property and released pending a future court date.
