Estacada’s second annual Arts at the Creek festival is coming up Saturday, July 27, and it promises to be a blast with a great music line-up, artists and crafters galore, food and drink vendors and activities for all.

“This is our second year of this event, and we are really excited about how much momentum it has gained even from last year,” said Jessie Kerr, chairman of the Estacada Area Arts Commission.

Arts at the Creek will include interactive art activities for all ages, dancing, free face painting, adult and youth art vendors, local food and drink purveyors, music acts and more.

The super-fun Backroad Dance Company kicks things off (pun intended) with a line dancing performance and class at noon.

Backroad will be followed on stage by the popular Casmir Effect from 1 to 3 p.m. and then the Rae Gordon Band from 4-6 p.m.

If scheduling permits, the Estacada Rural Fire Department plans to bring a big red truck to the festival from 2-4 p.m. so kids of all ages can get a good look.

The arts and music festival will run from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 27 at Wade Creek Park, 747 N.W. Wade St.

The celebration will feature 20 vendors and an additional seven youth vendors, all selling handmade art, crafts and goods.

There will also be a raffle to win art from the vendors, a tie-dying fundraiser benefitting the Estacada Area Arts Commission. Food vendors will include Kristy’s food cart, Woks and Wings, GDC Treats, Bobablastic, Trail’s End Kettle Corn and cotton candy from Estacada Cheer.

Lots of community organizations will also be there to inform and entertain. They include: International Student Exchange, Bee City USA-Estacada, Antfarm, Estacada Public Library, Garfield Skip-a-Week Quilt Club, Milo McIver State Park Rangers, Oregon Health Insurance Marketplace, Todos Juntos, Girl Scout Troop 31573, Clackamas County Arts Alliance, Philip Foster Farm, and the Estacada Rural Fire District.

And the best news, there is still time to sign up to volunteer. There are different jobs available and various shifts. For more information or to sign up to help out, email: artscommission@cityofestacada.org.
