    Wilderness Family star Robert Logan's cause of death revealed after his death aged 82

    Robert Logan's cause of death has been revealed after he died at the age of 82.

    The actor, well-known for his role on 77 Sunset Strip , died on May 6, with the news now being announced by his family. He died of natural causes in Estero, Florida, according to Robert's son Anthony.

    Robert played JR Hale, a hipster valet parking attendant, in 50 episodes of 77 Sunset Strip , appearing in seasons four and five before leaving in 1963. He took over the role from Edd 'Kookie' Byrnes on the ABC show.

    When Gerald Lloyd Kookson III was promoted from parking attendant at Dino's Lodge to partner at the neighboring detective agency, Logan stepped in as the hipster JR Hale. The iconic series also starred Efrem Zimbalist Jr. and Roger Smith as detectives Stu Bailey and Jeff Spencer.

    In addition to 77 Sunset Strip, Logan was well-known for his role as Skip Robinson in The Adventures of the Wilderness Family (1975). This franchise saw him star in three films as a construction worker from Los Angeles who relocates with his wife (played by Susan Damante) and two children to a cabin they built in the Rocky Mountains to escape city life.

    The sequels, The Further Adventures of the Wilderness Family (1978) and Mountain Family Robinson (1979), featured Robert in leading roles. He also starred in other nature-themed family films such as Across the Great Divide (1976) and The Sea Gypsies (1978).

    Born in Brooklyn, New York City, in 1941, Robert was the eldest of eight siblings. His father, Frank, worked in banking, while his mother, Catherine, was a homemaker. As a teenager, Robert moved with his family to Los Angeles.

    Initially accepting a baseball scholarship at the University of Arizona, he eventually found himself studying at Los Angeles City College. Robert's big break came when a Warner Bros talent scout spotted him in a restaurant one evening. This chance encounter paved the way for his successful career.

    In addition to 77 Sunset Strip, he appeared in Maverick, Surfside 6, and Claudelle. He also had roles in several episodes of Dr. Kildare and Mr. Novak and starred in the 1965 musical comedy Beach Ball. On NBC's Daniel Boone, Robert played Jericho Jones alongside Fess Parker.

    He is survived by his son Anthony, wife Alina, daughter Courtney, daughter-in-law Hayley, granddaughters Elsa, Ingrid and Alma, and siblings Logan, Theresa, Janet and Timothy.
