Sparta Returns Industrial Board For Development
Sparta reconstituted its Industrial Development Board Thursday afternoon, after some 20 years without one. Mayor Jerry Lowery said the board is necessary because state law dictates that any industrial development in the city is negotiated by the county commission without it. Three Charged In Cadiz Drug Investigation
A month long drug investigation led to a man and two women being charged with trafficking and possession of drugs in Cadiz Thursday afternoon. Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says the investigation led to a search warrant of a home on West End Street and 2 ounces of marijuana, guns, several different types of prescription medication, and 2 1/2 ounces of meth were found.
