    Suspicious package at Licking County Amazon facility not a threat

    UPDATE: The sheriff’s office has reported that the package was “non-threatening” and that the facility has resumed normal operations.

    ETNA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WCMH) — The Licking County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported suspicious package at an Amazon Fulfillment Center in Etna Township.

    According to a social media post at 8:05 p.m. Monday, deputies were sent to the facility on 11999 National Road SW for a reported bomb threat. Deputies found a suspicious package outside of the building.

    The Columbus Division of Fire’s bomb squad has been called in to investigate.

    The sheriff’s office said the facility is currently on lockdown and that deputies have secured the area.
