Brush fire ignites along Interstate 15 south of Blackfoot
BLACKFOOT — Firefighters extinguished a brush fire that ignited along Interstate 15 south of Blackfoot on Wednesday. The blaze along Interstate 15’s southbound lanes was reported around 4 p.m. and contributed to significant traffic congestion on the freeway. The fire scorched about two acres of farmland on the west side of the freeway before firefighters from the Blackfoot and Fort Hall fire departments extinguished the flames. ...

Summer Heat Returns, Smoke Moves Out
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Things are pretty hot out there and we’ll have hotter temperatures coming in soon. Since things are dry and hot, we are under a Fire Weather Watch until tomorrow night. The watch includes many areas of Wyoming from central to eastern Wyoming and including the Nebraska panhandle. Be very careful with sources of ignition and with any burning out there as fire could be spread quickly. The air quality alert that we were under today has expired as the smoke is finally thinning and moving out of the area. A bit of smoke will stick around in a few areas but it’ll be much thinner and not nearly as prevalent.
Missing 20-year-old Wyoming woman found safe
UPDATE: JUly 25 at 10:47 a.m. The 20-year-old missing Wyoming woman Liana Welde has been found safe and unharmed Wednesday night. According to a release form the Big Horn County, Wyoming Sheriff's Office, Welde police officers had contacted and identified Welde in the City of Billings at around 8 p.m.
Thief Caught Red-Handed After Trying to Outrun Wyoming Troopers
A woman is facing a felony theft charge after Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers reportedly caught her holding the keys to a stolen vehicle. According to a booking sheet, it all started at 1:34 p.m. on July 14, 2024, after a trooper was dispatched to a hazardous vehicle at milepost 4 on northbound Interstate 25, about three miles south of Cheyenne, and arrived to find an unoccupied vehicle parked along the west shoulder.

Wyoming Legion Baseball Class ‘A’ All-Conference Awards for 2024
All-conference accolades were announced for Wyoming Legion Baseball’s Single-A teams on Tuesday. The lists include first-team and second-team honors for the 2024 season. The head coaches in each district (West and East) voted for the honors. The eight teams in the Northwest and Southwest conferences make up the West All-Conference selections.
