Burnt ends isn’t the most appetizing name for food.

But it’s an entirely inaccurate name as well; they are delicious.

The name comes from how they are cooked. The longer cooking time causes the “ends” to be a little charred and tougher than BBQ typically is.

Burnt Ends could be served independently, but they also make a great sandwich.

With September 1st being National Burnt Ends Day, it’s the perfect time to try them.
