    Why is fitness one of the most overcomplicated topics of all time?

    It's probably because it's easier to sell people an expensive training plan when it sounds fancy and complicated.

    But it doesn't have to be that way.

    We have all heard of the 80/20 rule: 80% of results come from 20% of causes. That holds true for getting in shape. A small minority of your actions lead to a vast majority of your results.

    If you want a simple fitness plan, here it is:

    • Lift weights
    • Do cardio
    • Drink water
    • Eat enough protein
    • Eat your veggies

    Of course, it can be slightly more complicated than that, but it honestly doesn't have to be. If you do those five things with any sort of regularity, you're already 80% of the way there. And for most regular people, that's enough to live a long, healthy, happy life.
