It may be early in the NFL season, but Raider fans have to be feeling pretty good right now.

Both Garner Minshew and the team as a whole have exceeded expectations early.

But how long can they keep it up?

Gardner Minshew

Through the first two weeks of the season, Minshew has put up some impressive numbers.

• 77.5% Completion Percentage (1st in the NFL)
• 55 Completions (1st in the NFL)
• 533 Passing Yards (2nd in the NFL)

It’s hard to say if Minshew can keep this pace up. But if he does, or anything close, the Raiders will be serious contenders.

Las Vegas Raiders

The first two games were a mixed bag.

• 22–10 loss to the Chargers
• 26–23 win vs the Ravens

The opening-day loss hurts less when you consider that the 2–0 Chargers have looked good so far.

The win over the Ravens was a big statement. Don’t let their 0–2 record fool you, the Ravens are a good football team.

Looking Forward

The schedule for the Raiders moving forward isn’t too bad. Their next three opponents have a combined 1–5 record so far this year.

• 0–2 Panthers
• 1–1 Browns
• 0–2 Broncos

All three of the games coming up are winnable. If the Raiders can get through them with a 4–1 or 3–2 record, they will be in a good place in the playoff hunt.
