    Greenhill Humane Society

Karma is an affectionate Shepherd gal up for adoption at Greenhill Humane Society. She is friendly to everyone she meets and ready to accompany her people on their adventures.

She is a 3-year-old pup who would make an ideal hiking, running, or walking partner. After a long day, Karma will plop on the couch, ready for snuggle time.

Karma has played well with other dogs at the shelter and should meet any potential new siblings during the meet and greet. She would need a slow, supervised introduction to any kitty friends.

She weighs 57 pounds, is spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines.

Greenhill Humane Society is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 88530 Green Hill Rd in Eugene. For more information call (541) 689.1503 or visit www.green-hill.org.

    Oregon Coast Humane Society

Kenzie is a two-year-old hound mix who gets along well with other dogs. She is shy at first when meeting new people, but quickly becomes your friend with patience and kindness.

She is one of several large dogs who have been in Oregon Coast Humane Society's care for several months.

"Nationwide, shelters are facing a critical point for large dogs - they are sitting longer and longer in shelters throughout the country," said Elizabeth Thompson, executive director at Oregon Coast Humane Society. "Here at OCHS, we are absolutely experiencing the same thing and are trying to network our large dogs for placement in families or foster homes."

To meet Kenzie or learn about other dogs up for adoption, stop by the shelter at 2840 Rhododendron Drive in Florence, or apply online at oregoncoasthumanesociety.org. Shelter hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

    Cat Rescue and Adoption Network

Wetzel is described as a four-year-old golden tabby cat who is the perfect match of playful and couch potato.

According to Cat Rescue and Adoption Network, Wetzel will spend hours chasing feathers and strings around the room as long as someone is playing with him. He can be shy with strangers but will warm up to you quickly.

Wetzel loves treats, getting gentle pets, and would enjoy a calm home, which means he's likely best as the only cat in your household.

Wetzel is smart and independent and is perfect for an adopter who is experienced in caring for a long-haired cat. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for FIV and FeLV.

To meet Wetzel, please call 541-225-4955 option 1, or visit CatRescues.org for more info.
