Lenny is a young adult rooster who is looking to protect a flock of hens.

He is shy around new people but quickly warms up to be a confident guy who likes to strut his stuff. He is also very social and like being talked to while enjoying breakfast.

Lenny's favorite snacks are watermelon and lettuce. He handles well and allows his people to pick him up and carry him short distances.

Lenny is a cream and red rooster. his adoption fee includes a certificate for a free vet exam.

If you think Lenny would make a wonderful addition to your flock, learn more about Lenny at www.green-hill.org/adopt_other.

Greenhill Humane Society is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 88530 Green Hill Rd in Eugene. For more information call (541) 689.1503 or visit www.green-hill.org.

    Oregon Coast Humane Society

Lindsay is a 66-pound Shepherd mix who's been in the care of Oregon Coast Humane Society for way too long.

She keeps getting overlooked and the shelter does not know why. Lindsay is great with other dogs her size in play groups and walks nicely on the leash with other dogs.

She also loves to play ball, so getting her exercise won't be a problem. Lindsay would love a doggie sibling her size in her new family.

To meet Lindsay, stop by the shelter at 2840 Rhododendron Drive in Florence, or apply online at oregoncoasthumanesociety.org. Shelter hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Zigsa and Persimmon are a bonded pair of lovable and energetic 4-month-old kittens.

Zigsa is a female brown tabby cat with a spotted stomach and Persimmon is a male orange tabby. They love to wrestle and play for hours with their toys, and they love to be held.

Persimmon is described as a lap cat, whereas Zigsa is more independent but also very outgoing.

They were born in foster care and warm up quickly to new situations. Both Persimmon and Zigsa have been altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and are negative for FIV and FeLV.

You can meet this sweet pair at Petsmart in North Eugene (2847 Chad Dr, across from Costco). For more info, please call 541-225-4955 option 1, or visit CatRescues.org
