Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are staying hot on the recruiting trail, continuing their pursuit of another top prospect. 5-star athlete and playmaker Michael Terry III is set to make his third official visit as part of a recruiting weekend in Eugene on Saturday, July 27.

Michael Terry III has Oregon on his short list

Terry, a versatile athlete at 6'3" 210 lbs, has experience playing all over the offensive formation, including lining up at wide receiver and taking handoffs out of the backfield. He's a big, explosive playmaker capable of being a difference maker at a variety of positions.

The No. 1 athlete in the country, No. 8 player out of Texas, and the 26th ranked player in the country, Terry is said to be considering four schools – Texas, Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Oregon. It might be tough to pry him out of his home state, but we know the Ducks have had success in doing so with other recruits already.

Michael Terry's future position is yet to be determine

Standing at 6'3", Terry is a little tall to play running back. He might hone in on wide receiver, or at his size, he could continue to develop and bulk into an athletic tight end. Regardless of position, he's a versatile weapon and a ball of clay that college head coaches are excited to bring in.

Oregon already has a commitment from the No. 1 2025 wide receiver in the country in Dakorien Moore, who chose Oregon over his home state University of Texas. If the Ducks can land Michael Terry III, it would continue a trend of strong recruiting in one of the country's biggest talent hotbeds.

The Ducks currently have the fifth-ranked recruiting class in the country with a staggering 94% blue chip percentage. Terry would continue to bolster a blazing recruiting trail for Dan Lanning and the Ducks as they make their way to the Big Ten Conference.
