Oregon’s Saturday Night Live Reaction continues to come in as many of the nation’s best made it out to Eugene to spend time with Dan Lanning and his program over the weekend.

The Ducks are beginning to pick up steam on the On3 RPM for Frankfort (Ill.) Lincoln-Way East quarterback Jonas Williams who will announce his commitment on Aug. 3.

Oregon could also soon trend for many other blue-chip rising juniors.

    Looking for a flip

“The environment was electric,” On300 cornerback and USC commit Brandon Lockhart said. “Lots of top-tier talent!

“I like it up there a lot. The coaches specifically is what I like the most, but being in Eugene has a special feeling about it.

“I like my opportunity and where they see me fitting in on the defense. I think I can be a really big asset up here as I grow and learn their system.”

The On3 Industry ranks Lockhart as the nation’s No. 2 cornerback and No. 36 prospect overall.

    Getting ahead for others

The nation’s No. 3 tight end Brock Harris has been out to Oregon a few times early in his process.

“The environment was great,” Harris said. “A lot of dudes there that can really play. I think I did pretty good. I love the coaching staff. Coach Lanning is so energetic and I feel he really cares about me and my family. Coach (Drew) Mehringer is a really good teacher at my position. I learned a lot from him yesterday as well as Coach (Steve) Haunga.”

Harris loves the trajectory of the program.

“I think Oregon is trending up. For me watching the growth of the tight ends they have is amazing. I got to watch some film of some of the guys they have now when they were where I’m at and then see how far they have come. Ferguson should be one of the first tight ends picked next year in the draft and hopefully Herbert stays healthy. They have a sophomore Kenyon who is going to be a stud. Then Roger is a freshman and doing really great. I knew him from Utah. It’s just great to see that growth and that potential pipeline to the NFL. That’s where I want to end up and have a long career.

“So having that example is huge.”
