Target rich: Louisiana 4-H shooting sports wins second consecutive national championship
(07/02/24) BATON ROUGE, La. — The Louisiana 4-H Shooting Sports Team are once again reigning national champions after defeating competitors from across the United States. The team has placed first in four out of the past five national competitions, including 2019, 2021 and 2023, with a second-place finish in 2022 and the 2020 event being canceled due to COVID restrictions.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Shreveport artist has designed the new “I Voted” sticker for this year’s election. Louisiana Secretary of State Nancy Landry will show the commissioned design at 9 a.m. Monday, July 8 at the Old Governor’s Mansion. LDWF issues citations to illegal immigrants for illegally catching 120 red snapper
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) cited six individuals for illegally catching 120 red snapper of which 97 were undersized which could bring thousands of dollars in fines. 33-year-old Encarnacion Lopez of Chalmette along with 39-year-old Juan Lopez, 30-year-old Oscar Ofion, 45-year-old Armando Aguilar, 27-year-old Yony Martinez and 46-year-old Mario Castro who were illegal immigrants were issued citations.
